Privacy Policy

How Savvy handles privacy, personal data, and app-related information.

How Savvy handles privacy, personal data, and app-related information.

Savvy is a personal finance app operated by Thinkable Digital Pte Ltd ("Thinkable Digital", "we", "us"). It helps you and, optionally, a partner track balances, spending, budgets, and goals. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you provide

  • Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash).

  • Financial data you enter yourself: accounts, balances, transactions, budgets, goals, and recurring items.

  • Optional profile details, such as a display currency, time zone, and avatar image.

Bank connection data

If you choose to connect a bank, Savvy uses a regulated third-party provider to establish that connection. You enter your bank credentials with the provider, not with Savvy. We never see or store your online banking username or password.

Through that read-only connection we receive account information such as account names, balances, and transaction history so we can show them in the app. You can disconnect a bank at any time.

AI insights (optional)

If you turn on AI Insights, monthly spending summaries (category totals and percentages, with no individual transaction details or personal information) are shared with an AI service to generate more personalised insights. This feature is off until you enable it.

Sharing with a partner

Savvy lets you connect with a partner for view-only sharing of accounts and goals you choose to share. Sharing happens only after both people accept the connection, and you can disconnect at any time.

How we use your information

  • To provide and operate the app, including syncing bank data and calculating budgets, forecasts, and goals.

  • To secure your account and prevent abuse.

  • To communicate with you about your account, such as password resets and important notices.

We do not sell your personal information.

Diagnostics

To keep Savvy stable, we use a crash and error monitoring service (Sentry) that alerts us when something goes wrong in the app. These reports include technical details such as the type of error and the device model, and are stored in the European Union. We scrub them so they never include your financial amounts, balances, account details, or other personal information.

Product analytics

To understand how the app is used and improve it, we use a product analytics service (PostHog) that records anonymous usage events, such as completing sign-up or connecting a bank. These events are stored in the European Union and never include your financial amounts, balances, account details, or other personal information. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings.

Data retention and your choices

  • You can export your transaction history as a CSV file at any time.

  • You can clear all of your data from within the app, which permanently deletes your accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, and recurring items and disconnects any linked banks.

  • You can disconnect a bank connection without deleting your history.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Children

Savvy is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the version above and, where appropriate, ask you to review the updated policy.
